Things went up until when one night at the Crystal Empire, Sunset Shimmer and Nine takes the element of Magic, Twilight's crown. Sonic, Twilight and Spike travel to another world where Sonic is still a hedgehog, Twilight turns into a human and Spike turns into a dog. The trio reconnect with five girls, who were actually their pony friends in this world, Shadow and the Shatterverse's versions of Sonic's friends. Will Sonic and his gang defeat and reform Sunset Shimmer and Nine? Or will they crumble and Twilight and Spike will never return to Equestria.
