Rain has had a crush on Poppy ever since elementary school. Rain is seen as a loner who has no friends while Poppy is seen as the popular girl with the perfect life...but everything wasn't as it seemed.
Rain Lee is a seventeen year-old girl who came out as lesbian when she was sixteen. Rain is an introverted, artsy, and creative person but due to her introverted tendencies, Rain has a problem with being awkward in social situations and she usually has miscommunications with others. She was born in Sacromento, California to her loving parents, Aiden and Crystal Lee as an only child with nobody else in the family except for her grandma and grandpa. When Rain's grandma introduced her to drawing and art, Rain became quickly obsessed.

Poppy Mills is a seventeen year-old girl who was born in Sacromento, California to her parents, Alicia and Warren Mills. Poppy has a large family but she hasn't met most of them because her parents were too busy to properly visit family. When Poppy was 12, her brother, Wilbur was born but after a few days after her mother gave birth, Alicia left without giving any notice. Around the time that Alicia left, Warren had became ill but after Alicia left, he became hospitalized which left Poppy needing to get a job to take care of herself, her brother and father, the house, and her school life.
