Just came to me while reading another Snamione fanfic. 

Its been eleven years since the Battle, Snape wasn't expecting the Gryffindor heroine to save him with phoenix tears. Hermione wasn't expecting Ron to run back to Lavender after the kiss they shared in the Chamber of Secrets. By chance, Severus and Hermione have a one night stand on the night they are both awarded Order of Merlin First Class. 

Hermione never told him a secret she had harbored for eleven years since, until she walks into the Great Hall for her sorting.

The second wizarding war is finally over. Voldemort is defeated and his death eaters either dead or sentenced to life in Azkaban. Despite the many deaths the order of the phoenix has to mourn, a bit of normality returns to the lives of those who survived.
