Out of Place

Eighteen year-old Hiyori Hasegawa was found dead in the woods from brutal, severe bullying from her classmates during her senior year of high school. Hiyori didn't have friends to begin with, so none of the students from her high school attended her funeral. The only person was her mother.
Things boiled up at the school after her death, but not for long, the situation completely evaporated and had been forgotten. Just as things were starting to run smoothly, though, strange things happen to Hiyori's classmates which bring an uproar of a rumor that Hiyori became a ghost to take revenge. When things started to get out of hand, a recent transfer student named Toshio Yamamoto secretly confronts Hiyori, as he is the only one who could see her. Hiyori and Toshio become close friends and now, Toshio is being looked down upon for being weird and talking to himself. His classmates claim that Hiyori is trying to steal Toshio's soul, but Toshio refuses to believe such a thing because he believes Hiyori isn't the type to steal one's soul. Also, because he finds out that he has started to develop feelings for Hiyori.

Will they ever find happiness together, or is this whole thing just a part of Hiyori's revenge?
