*A paranormal thriller*

Cheng, a quiet, grim guy who never talks, is being pulled through the streets by his best friend Lu, when Cheng suddenly rescues a girl. Seconds later, a truck crashes into the streetlight where the girl stood. Why did Cheng do this and how did he know? 

Cheng has paranormal abilities; he can see into the future. 
But was he allowed to change the future of a stranger? Just because he has feelings for the girl?
While he and his friend Lu are trying to figurate out, where the powers came from, a dangerous enemy is waiting in the shadows, ready to attack...

Someone wants this paranormal powers...
And someone is ready to kill for that...

The apocalypse has already started and finished, leaving some of the surviving ones with strange powers and mysterious scars. The world has ended, according to some, and is now in a state of rebirth. The boy, desperate to find someone to help him save his sister, leaves the city and finds one of the youngest cooperative packs in North America, called the Raiders, comprised of unwanted individuals with the strange powers left from the destruction of years past. Their leader, a destructive insomniac, promises to help him in return for the skills and usefulness this young boy seems to possess, but something disrupting sends waves of unease through the Raiders, something about a forgotten past and talk of a mutiny. "Maybe there's more to life than just surviving." ... Rated C for Caution. Though it's rated mature, there is no bad language or vivid descriptions of sexual contact. It does have very strong themes. Their task is to set up a base on a supposedly habitable planet and prepare it for colonization. Although the planet has liquid water and a breathable atmosphere, it is believed to host only microbial life. However, upon arriving, Shawn and the rest of the colonists learn that assumption was grossly incorrect. In a brutal attack from rampaging wildlife, everyone but Shawn and four other colonists are killed. The five survivors retreat to the cavernous network beneath the ground seeking safety, but they soon come to a terrible discovery. These caves aren't ordinary caves, and they are no safer down under than they were on the surface. [][][] This was originally my entry for the 2021 Open Novella Contest, and it received an honorable mention! It has now been expanded into a full length novel.
