"You're late," Shoko pointed out, pointedly.
You sat down, bowing your head at her boyfriend, and smiling apologetically. "Sorry, traffic," you lied.
"Yeah, sure," Shoko huffed, eyeing the buttons of Satoru's shirt. Sure, he usually had a few buttons undone, but it was one more than usual. Satoru, noticing her gaze, grinned at Shoko, before turning to the new boyfriend.
"So, what's your deal?"
Elbowing Satoru while smiling politely at the man, you chuckled awkwardly. "He means, we don't know much about you. Why don't you tell us about yourself?"
Shoko accepted the menus that the waitresses offered, and made sure to whisper that this table would require lots of drinks. Satoru raised an eyebrow at her. It wasn't like Shoko to be nervous about things like these. Unless, she'd found someone respectable? That she liked? Enough to settle down, even, maybe?
Satoru almost laughed aloud.
No way.
"So how did you both meet?"
"At our university's library, actually," Hiroto chuckled, putting an arm around Shoko, who tensed. "We reached for the same book. She was really cute."
Satoru actually laughed out loud.

"What is it that you want?"
Because that was what this was about wasn't it? He wanted something. The main family never disdained to speak to the lower members without a need and Gojo Satoru was not about to be the exception.
"I'm going to recommend you for first-grade sorcerer status."
"... and yet again I ask, what is it that you want?"
Gojo leaned back, tilting his face towards you with an easy grin. You wondered if he saw the world the way you did with your Limitless when his eyes were blinded. Seeing only the impressions of energy and sensation. Could he see your expression? The confusion in the downturn of your mouth or the suspicion in the narrowness of your eyes?
"Just a fiancée."
