He is a cocky cowboy who dropped out of high school and came from nothing. With no support from his parent's whatsoever he has to do everything himself. His grandfather who once taught him how to rope, and bought him his first ever mare to compete was his only supporter. A rough childhood lead to a serious drinking problem that he soon learns that just doesn't affect him. Lucky him a family friend (aka the town vet) has a nice property that allows him to board his horse. When the vet's daughter decides to go professional in the rodeo world and comes to him for advice, he takes her under his wing. What's possibly the worse that could happen?
