Jay Halstead, asac of the violent crimes against children division, has gone through many traumas during his lifetime, but nothing compares to seeing his children cross the Manhattan bridge and sink to the bottom of the lake.
Erin Lindsay, ssa's counter-terrorism division, has gone through much more than anyone can imagine. She only lives to protect and care for her sister, but has no prospect for her own life. She doesn't believe she deserves something good after what she did. What did she do? Well, that's a secret she keeps with seven keys.
Both were born into bad news, and believe they were bad news, but when they meet it is undeniable the connection they have with each other, but they are afraid, their hearts are broken, can they trust each other to enter? Can they trust their nightmares of the past and move on together? It is what they will need to discover...

This story based on 2 years after Erin left to go to New York to take a job to keep Bunny out of jail. I kept Alvin Olinksey alive in the story as well. At first the connection between Jay and Erin is tense but they soon find their way back into each other's lives.
Also none of these characters are mine I'm borrowing them from the amazing Dick Wolf and his team to portray my own story ☺️☺️
