Aspiring filmmaker Roz Landowski reconnects with her childhood best friend after dropping out of college and leaving New York City for Manchester. In search of new direction, and the grand prize of a national film festival, Roz finds inspiration in an up and coming band called The Stone Roses, and decides to make a documentary about the band as they record their debut album and navigate their newfound fame. Over the course of filming, mutual struggles with friendship, relationships, sexuality, and justice both strengthen and complicate the relationship between Roz and the Roses.
