The Boy On The Beach - frєrαrd [Completed]
It's not like I asked for this. I didn't ask. I didn't want this. But now there's nothing in this world that I could want more. Him, next to me. Smiling. Us sitting next to each other. Holding hands. Kissing. Hugging. Everything. Frank; a depressed kid with problems no one could imagine. And a desire to die. Gerard; another depressed kid who doesn't want life anymore. 3:39 am. Gerard finds Frank passed out on the beach. 5:24 am. Frank wakes up in his room with no memory of two hours before. 6:12 am. Mikey, Gerard's brother, sits in his brother's room, talking about the boy Gerard found on the beach. 9:52 am. Gerard wonders about the boy on the beach. 10:43 am. Frank wonders why he's still alive. 12:37 pm. Mikey wonders why his friend, Frank, is acting so weird. 2:19 pm. Gerard leaves the house and goes to the beach, where he found the boy. 3:49 pm. Frank realises someone found him. 5:26 pm. Mikey wants to know what the fuck is going on with the two important people in his life. Frank is twenty eight: he's mentally stable for the most part, and well nobody has to know about pills he takes twice a day, do they? He's normal now, he's a person now, he's a fucking adult with an office job and he fucking hates it and that's fine, because he got out of the mental hospital three years ago, and these past three years of mundane nothingness have been the best three years of his life. Ten years ago, or so, Frank was in love with a boy called Gerard with fiery red hair and the personality of a switchblade knife, and ten years ago that boy called Gerard had killed himself. Frank still saw him though: hallucinations, as he knew them to be now, and it took him years in a hospital he never thought he'd get out of to convince himself of his newfound sanity, but he was okay now. Twenty eight year old Frank Iero had been officially 'okay' since he was twenty five. He hadn't seen Gerard again, and he didn't even think about the guy - he was just normal, and he was almost painfully content with being the secretary to someone with a five figure salary. But of course, on one fateful morning in December, that has to go and change, doesn't it? (Technically a sequel to Summertime, but I wouldn't say you need to have read Summertime to understand and enjoy this)Complete

Gerard is new to the school.. he finally got kicked out of his old one, now being forced to go to school with Mikey, not that's it's a bad thing. unlike what people would thing, Gerard and Mikey get along great..it's just other people that bugs Gerard. he sticks out like a sore thumb, hes soft spoken and has pretty feminine features as well as dressing up in pastel clothes (skirts). he gets into fights a lot and he's not afraid to stick up for himself but it gets tiring so he normally lets his bully's do whatever they need. at his new school he meets Frank. he's known to not let people push him the wrong way and he'll call you out on your bullshit. Frank finds Gerard...uh, interesting. it's hard to tell what Gerard is thinking most times and that really bugs Frank. Gerard tends to be in his own and Frank wants to change that...but how can he? Gerard will forever be known as the "cross dresser" and Frank will always be seen as "too good" for Gerard.

After finishing his teaching masters degree the spring before his 25th birthday, Frank finds himself moving home to care for his sick mother and taking a very uninspiring job as an English teacher at Belleville High School. It was a job he was certain would be boring until he learns quickly that Gerard is a senior at the same high school. Emotions flare and tensions rise as Frank realizes the feelings he thought were long and buried are still very much around.
