As a demon angel-hunter, Dimitri does not know the difference between right and wrong. Dimitri has been raised and trained from birth to kill those in the white robes, but then one captures him before Dimitri can kill him. He makes it his mission to change Dimitri, and over time his demonic features recede. Hate and rage are replaced by kindness and understanding. When Dimitri's horns fall off, his angel captor decides to release Dimitri. Yet Dimitri refuses to go, as his love for him has blossomed during his transformation. Dimitri knows that other angel-hunters will pursue him once they learn what has become of Dimitri, and Dimitri becomes determined to defend himself and his love from these demonic forces.
