Most students are thrilled to start their magical education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry but the resourceful and enigmatic Miss Darling is not. When the Ministry decided her fate was to attend school as a 5th year she planned to soak up just enough skills to survive and return to the clandestine world she knows. Unfortunately her path to ultimate freedom and autonomy seems to run into endless obstacles of ancient magic secrets, unwanted responsibility and, most vexing of all, people she actually kinda likes.

Book I of this fanfiction takes place during the events of Hogwarts Legacy, following the story of an original protagonist, the young Miss Darling. Much has been added and changed to tell the story of this character. Some of the events follow the game closely while others deviate significantly and some events have been added entirely. It is a new take and sets the stage for two following books that are already in the works. This is a transformative work based on the Harry Potter franchise by J.K. Rowling and Portkey Games Hogwarts Legacy. Consider this first book a fresh look at the game through an original lense presented in a literary format. The two books we have in the works following this one will be uncharted territory.

What to Expect:
Miss Darling comes from a mysterious but clearly dubious upbringing that makes her a far cry from your typical Hogwarts student. She is very much an anti hero who engages in a lot of questionable behavior but strives to at least try to be a decent person. It is a rotating third person perspective where we will see things through the eyes of many different characters. The story primarily focusses on the Slytherin trio of Darling, Sebastian and Ominis. This is rated mature for violence. While there are some crushes confused and slow burning relationships typical for adolescence our protagonists have quite a bit on their plate so this is first and foremost and action adventure.

Follow the adventures of Asra Devorak, as she is whisked away into a world of magic and mystery the day Professor Eleazar Fig discovered her ability to see traces of Ancient Magic. Enrolling in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a fifth year, she must quickly overcome the many challenges that come her way and catch up to her fellow students. Managing this proves to be quite the struggle as threats of a Goblin rebellion, and the unveiling of ancient secrets come at the price of her access to this Ancient Magic. After the encounter with Ranrok at Gringotts, Asra must work alongside Professor Fig to put an end to their plans, before the Ministry has another full scale rebellion on their hands. Not only must she now catch up on five years of magical education and stop a rebellion, but she must do so while her thoughts are more than distracted with her newfound infatuation with her new Slytherin companions; Sebastian Sallow and Ominis Gaunt. This story will follow the events of the game rather closely, with me expanding on certain scenes and plot points I felt the game just did not give us enough material for. If you're looking for plot focused stories with some feral open door romance, you're in the right place!
