'I asked what the Fuck were you trying to do!?'
Peter Just stared at tony unmoving, what was he supposed to say? Apparently not saying anything was the wrong answer because the slap that he got for that brought him back to reality. He felt tears surface in his eyes threatening to fall off and all he could do was bring his hand to his face trying to cool off the stinging pain.

Peter doesn't feel in control of his actions anymore. He needs sleep but hasn't been able to since tony mysteriously passed away. After Having continuous nightmares Peter decides he needs to say a final goodbye to get closure, so he choses multiverse as the answer.
Well Reality is not always what it seems and sometimes your hero is not the same in every universe.

Peter's past is shrouded in darkness. Memories filled with nothing but torture, agony, loneliness, and grief. The Weight of Grief
It's almost funny. How grief sneaks up on you. One second, you're fine; you're coping well and then it hits you like a bullet, tearing right through your heart, almost killing you on the spot. Grief is a monster that lies dormant in the darkest quarters of your mind, growing stronger and stronger until you can't fight anymore. Until you can't breathe. Peter was fractured. The monster having grown too big, and without any support left to hold him up, the world of drugs dug its claws into him. And it was slowly killing him, like a sickly sweet poison that dulled the pain while quietly feeding on his soul. He was powerless to stop it. He was too tired to stop it. Tony was doing pretty good. Aside from having died, he was doing pretty good. Resurrected from the dead, check. Thanos dead, check. Wife and daughter thriving, check. He'd never expected to get his life back, that was for sure. He was thankful for the second chance. Unfortunately, Tony was quick to discover that the kid had all but lost his own life. It felt like a knife slowly twisting into his chest every time he saw the kid: in agony. Now Tony wasn't exactly the poster-child for a good emotional support figure, but he wasn't about to sit back and let this continue. No matter how hard the kid fought him, no matter how much resistance he was met with, Tony would help the kid. Still, he couldn't help the fear that laced his blood. Access to light, clean bedding, or a warm meal was considered a privilege within the structures of Hydra. A glimpse of these comforts could only be granted to a soldier who followed orders. Peter was not one of them. With his thin limbs, the malnourished twelve-year-old was on the brink of death from exhaustion and starvation. It seemed that his days were numbered, and he himself longed for death. (book 1) y/n stark is really not here for this european school vacation because in this post-endgame world, she's mourning the loss of her dad. but one (1) sticky boi peter parker is just trying to be the friend he once was while also trying not to flirt too much because if she rejects him (which she wouldn't, not that he knows that) while they're in venice holy hell he'll just pitch himself off the gondola right then and there. basically, y/n has been distancing herself & peter misses her & this school trip is a great way for him to coax her back into the real world & y/n really loves peter but is super sensitive and scared to lose him & also mysterio shows up at some point ugh @ nick fury leave ned leeds alone *this story was written prior to avengers: infinity war & spider-man: far from home coming out. therefore, the canon in which these characters live in is different from the mcu. in this canon - tony stark, captain america, & thor have all died. black widow & vision have survived. the decimation, where half the population was snapped from existence was erased with time travel so those who were snapped came back within online minutes, leaving some residual trauma. in this canon, those who survived the decimation only lived six months without those who were snapped, but those six months have been erased - leaving only the avengers to fully remember what happened.Complete

Between having mad scientists for parents, getting bullied on a daily basis and keeping his identity as Spider-Man a secret it's no wonder he gets stressed.
