In which 012 escapes Hawkins Laboratory after last year 011 escaped, she was adopted by a nice rich couple, and they moved from New York to Hawkins. But there is something different about 012, she isn't like all the other patients. She is stronger than all of them. For a year, as punishment for not listening to Dr. Brenner's orders, he threw her in the gate to survive for a whole year. She was so close to dead. But since Dr. Brenner was dead, Hopper found another girl next to Will. He saved her and the nice rich couple, Jake and Mary Goldsmith, adopted her and took her in.
After a year of living in New York, they moved to Hawkins to start fresh. A certain boy who helps his friends defeat monsters catches her eye.
