The war to end all wars had failed miserably; only one hundred years after the signing of the Paris Peace Treaty, a war unlike any other ignited, wiping out most of the human race, leaving but few nations in the rubble of its aftermath. One of those nations is Aboveground, located in former Japan. Aboveground is a world inspired to fight off diversity and acknowledge technology as an absolute in an effort to create "Unity in One".

Most didn't know much more than that, including Denki Kaminari.

An annual purge was hosted by the government as a way to connect with loved ones, but for omegas like Denki Kaminari, it was more of a death sentence. The purge granted 24 hours of immunity, and within those 24 hours hundreds would be injured or killed- the promise of immunity was irresistible. Denki was one omega that couldn't refuse the charm of the purge, though little did he know what others charms waited for him.
