The story is from the point of view of the main character (Mikoto), as she trying to solve things by her own way. From the timeline standpoint, I could put the story somewhere after the end of Railgun S, but 'Gremlin Ark' added such a punch to the plot that we have an excuse for any plowed timeline, cross-over, Out-Off-Character and character come-backs.
