My, my, those eyes like fire
I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre
Come now, bite through these wires
I'm in waking hell and the gods grow tired
Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher
Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire

"Is something the matter, Dean? You seem quiet."
"I-I'm not sure, Cas. I'm so used to you being around, and we just finally got you back to normal. It sucks losing someone I'm close to and has saved my ass many times."
The angel looks at the floor, blinks, and turns to face Dean.
"I understand your feelings. My own existence and fate makes little to no sense. Once I complete these trials and save my family and Heaven, I will feel more valuable knowing that I am truly making a difference." He pauses, hoping the hunter didn't take offense. "Dean, what is it going to be like for you? Once I am gone."
Dean tries to push his emotions down and shrugs, "It'll be a lot harder to gank assholes for sure."

The Mark on Us ( A Destiel Fanfic) by paige813
13 parts Complete
Ever since Dean Winchester got the Mark of Cain on his arm, his world has been turned upside down. His humanity is slowly dwindling away from his grasp and something entirely different takes a hold of him. Something foreign, monstrous even. He barely has control of his actions and every gut feeling inside of Dean is telling him to kill. In a tale that follows the story line of season 9 and 10, Dean must battle the demons taken residence inside him or be swallowed whole in the process. The only person, besides his brother, tethering himself to the ground would be Cas who won't seem to give up on Dean, no matter the acts he commits. The story of unlikely love. The Righteous Man. The Fallen Angel. And broken humanity. Only one will make it out alive. "I don't want to forget," Cas said, reaching over to grab his hand in his. "Then don't." He leaned in and placed his lips on top of Cas's, lingering in the state of things, wanting it to never end. This was timeless. This was forever. For every waking instant they were together, an eternity could fly by and merely feel like seconds. They say when you are at the verge of death, your life flashes before your very eyes but in this moment all he saw was Cas. His messy black hair that no matter the amount of brushing couldn't make it go down. His blue eyes that sparkled even if the sun was nowhere to be seen. His trenchcoat, red in some places, brown in others but still seemed to smell of his musk. All of it was him. He was his life."

The Fall // Destiel

14 parts Complete

As a cut off angel, it's hard to blend in with the normal crowd. However, Castiel is doing quite fine, outliving everyone else as a simple cashier at the local Gas 'n Sip. Sure, he may never understand humans, but it's a privilege to watch them go about their simple lives, while never progressing in his own. He just has no desire to; seeing that he hasn't found anyone worth falling - literally and metaphorically - for. Until. --- Just a fic inspired by a fanvideo. I don't own SPN, of course. The video nor cover art I didn't make, but the plot is entirely mine, only lightly guided by the destiel trailer "The Fall."
