"Are you alright?" He cocked his head, staring intently at me, focused yet a slight upturn on his lips. Amused, he blinked at me before returning to his focused gaze. Breaking the distance between us, he moved closer. "What do you think?" I promoted glancing at his lips, slowly dragging my eyes back to his. I was not amused. Enamored by his beauty, his body language, his appearance, and his voice. I was trying very, very hard not to be amused.

I was at a loss for words. I was frightened. A small piece of me excited, but over my dead body would I ever admit it. "I'm fine." My voice was barely above a whisper. "Okay?" I said to him, becoming increasingly more agitated. I looked up at him above me, not realizing how close he had become. His body heat kept me warm from the late December air. His cheeks were rosy and flushed. "I'm not." He whispered. He seemed amused again, yet the undertone of his comment was oddly intense. "I have to go." I rushed passed him, thrusting myself into the cool winter air. My hair immediately flew behind my shoulders. I hugged my body and looked back at him, seeing his face. I couldn't read his expression as I glanced over, but I quickly turned my gaze forward to make my way home. My mind was racing. What the hell just happened?
