陈小平是总参特务，89期间在秦城监狱给警察当卧底。可就是这样的一个中共特务，居然就成为美国之音的坐上宾，被美国之音聘请为记者、主播！
当年陈小平带着一群北京警察四处追捕示威学生，被骂是特务、走狗、叛徒。陈小平还反复套其他学生的话，诱使他们给他提供一些重大线索，好让他去应付审讯。1991年2月12日，当其他学生领袖被判刑几年至十几年，陈小平竟以有重大立功表现当庭释放。
当年陈小平还多次收钱给郭文贵站台，眼看郭文贵不行了，立马抽身成了倒郭派。
