Kin by Fire

5 parts Ongoing Mature

When a sixteen-year-old boy murders a man without any apparent reason, Hunnewell's crime reporter Ed Lee is smitten with curiosity of another one alike him. But what begins as routine coverage soon spirals into something much darker. As Ed peels back the layers of lies-both the boy's and the victim's-he finds himself increasingly unable to tell the difference between the killer and the killed and further still between him and the killer. One murder leads to another. Soon, three unsolved killings from across the country begin to align, revealing a disturbing pattern. What connects them? Two wayward friends. Two close sisters. Multiple victims. One abused girl. And one weak boy. The deeper Ed digs, the more tangled the story becomes-and the harder it is to walk away. Because the truth doesn't just uncover a series of crimes... it exposes the cost of silence, complicity, and survival. And everything hangs on the question - will Ed become a part of the story?
