Aurora has been going through a rough patch, needing to get away from the world she finds a small island in Lake Huron. The island had no cars, a college that was supposed to be closed down in 1970, and the weird sense that the town has stayed the same for years. After meeting Jay Jay, the son of her hosts at the Bed and Breakfast she is staying at, Aurora is swept into his college group of friends Lillian, Evangeline, and Waylon. They all have their own quirks and kinks but they make Aurora feel more welcome than she has in a while. But something is waying on Aurora's mind. The odd language her friends use and weird work calls they get from time to time make her question what secrets they are hiding from her. Xander, a well-known doctor, finds interest in the new young tourist. Of course, there are many new people coming and going on the little island, but Xander doesn't want this one to leave.
