Magic in Great Earth is seen to be roots of evil and malice. The Dark One, after his defeat, spread his mana across all regions of the world. And the people affected by it, became Sorcerers. Sorcerers are being persecuted as 'cursed ones', mana is equivalent to evil, whereas its source was from the Dark One.
