In two countries where a shy, cautious girl and a timid, demure boy take slow steps, peace and serenity following behind.
Suddenly, peace is covered with screams of fear and agony. Their people are tossed and trashed like they're nothing to their Governments. The girl lived in fear for her life as she watched the heinous crimes committed by them against her people.
The boy lives in terror of the consequences of not following the rules of his country. Both heard many stories, but never thought of it coming true. She wished to take it as a warning when she first heard it as much as he did.
As much as they both love it, they don't have a choice to stay. They have to take a dangerous and possibly life threatening journey from their now destroyed homelands to other lands next and far from their country. Both feel perplexed to venture out into the real world, but they would rather swim miles than to be tossed into a much worse situation. The two children would have to do some of the most grueling, horrendous, downright sadistic things just to live out the nightmares that came true. And so, both stories begin in their home countries, in mid spring 2010.
