Demons were seen as a hostile species, but the government decided to give them a chance.
Admittedly, most of the demons had been able to be rehabilitated and given a proper home. But there were those few that didn't want ANYTHING to do with humans, let alone being adopted by one.

No one knew what the government did behind closed doors, but most suspected rather... gruesome activities. The photos of demons posted outside their cells and online looked nothing like the demon they were brought out. Most had sympathy, the others angered greatly at how the government was able to get away with such crude ways.

However, no matter how many people tried, there were those 14 cells that went unmarked- labeled as 'unadoptable', 'unavailable', or 'proceed with caution'. And that's when a young, selfless girl willing to go through hell and back for this species, seemed to just materialize.

It didn't matter that they were 'aggressive' or 'violent', in her eyes, they were all seen as an equal. She knows why she's the only one in almost 2 years that was willing to volunteer, to test if I could break through their cold demeanor.

So, to start her new job, she used her outstanding optimism and calmly made her way up to a yellow-haired boy. His hair faded to a beautiful orange at the ends, stray strands falling from his messy braid visible on the right side of his neck. He had three lightning-like scars on his temple, interesting her.
