Orion Eclipse, a forgotten Decepticon, joins the Autobots and faces a shocking truth about his past as the battle for the Allspark Matrix unfolds. In this fanfic of mine, "Transformers: Animated - Shadows of Redemption," Optimus Prime and his friends both old and new must navigate a treacherous path filled with self-discovery, forgiveness, and the unyielding pursuit of justice. Bonds are tested, alliances are forged, and the fate of the universe hangs in the balance as Optimus Prime and his allies strive to thwart Megatron's sinister plot and protect the Matrix from falling into the wrong hands. With the war finally over, Ratchet and Optimus finally get to live their fantasy of having a family. Optimus didn't anticipate the target that would be put over Ratchet's head once he became sparked. A small band of Decepticons aren't satisfied with the way things played out. Seeking revenge and compensation, they take the sparked medic hostage, and the race begins. Optimus must juggle his Primely duties and searching for his medic while complying to the outrageous demands. His desperation is what leads him to Megatron.

Months later, a restless Prime sparks a battle of wills with Primus and gets himself kicked out of the Allspark. When he wakes, he finds himself and Megatron revived--with a twist. That leaves them with only one place to turn to, and the Decepticons there are more willing to take in the former Prime than they are Megatron.
