After years of fighting off bad guys, she finally made it to prom. But that was the night when everything changed for her.

She was taken by a stranger under the orders of a madman, held hostage for months, suffering a sufficient amount of mental, emotional and physical pain.

After five months, she was saved. But, not by the people she had hoped, but rather by a group of stunning people covered with magical tattoos who call themselves "Shadowhunters." Which led to the reveal of the life that was once a secret to her.
