The Lost Hybrid (Completed)
I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect. She's built barriers around her heart, so strong that only the most powerful force could break them down. Adira was an Alpha's daughter, 19 years old, and didn't want a mate. She was too focused on figuring out what her deadly secret meant for her and those she loved. When she discovered her mate was Alpha Phoenix, she was sure the Moon Goddess was trying to punish her. As truths unfold and loyalty is put to the test, her secret comes to light. There were four people who had powers beyond imagination. One had weaponry, one had memory, another had teleportation and the last had gatherance. It might be hard to believe, but those four were set on a journey to save a neighbouring planet. The journey might change their fate and turn things around. My cousin always referred to us as the bad jokes, as in...a blonde, a brunette and a redhead walk into a bar. I'm the blonde, and this is my story. When I was 18, a psychic told me to watch for the man with two hearts. That didn't make much sense, so I lived my life, not thinking about her fortune for my life. Then I met Wyatt and we fell in love. Until his ex-fiancee came back to him, and he chose her. Her heart. My heart. Two hearts. He's back, trying to explain things to me, trying to win me back and in the meantime, I'm also dealing with a stalker. But Wyatt's helping with that problem. Unfortunately, he's causing another problem: he's not taking no for an answer.Lengkap

When I was 18, a psychic told me to wait for the man with the scar. For five years I waited and then suddenly, there he was in front of me one night. No mistake -- this was the man. We got off to a bad start, and I just kept making things worse chasing after him. Until he let me know in no uncertain terms that he wasn't interested in me. So I gave him what he wanted and ignored him. Then he decided he wanted me. And him getting me back was the least of our problems.Lengkap

"You were worried about me, Specs?" He smirked. "No, Tyler. I hoped that someone cut up your corpse and fed it to paranas. Obviously I was, you idiot! I'm a doctor. Worrying about people is kind of programmed into my system. It's a curse if you ask me," I surprised myself a lot more than I thought was possible with my answer. And what did he do? Laugh! He fucking laughed! Not full on rolling- on- the- floor laughter but a laugh nonetheless. "This isn't funny, Tyler." "It kind of is. Almost a month ago, I would've sworn that you hated me. Be careful, Specs," he squinted down at me, "or you might actually sound as if you like me." I rolled my eyes. "Don't flatter yourself. I was concerned. Don't confuse that with affection. It's two very, very different things." *** When you think that all is not lost in the world. That not all men are pricks and that not all sushi is bad. When you think that there is a light, no matter how dim, at the end of the tunnel. When you think that life isn't the ruthless bitch you've always thought it was... It turns around and bites you in the ass. When you think that the past will always and forever remain where it should be... It comes at you from every direction.
