Years after the events of the First Story, Fakir sees an eerie dream of Princess Tutu dancing on a lake, and is soon after confronted by a Shadow in his heart, offering to fulfil his long-standing desires, and realise his potential as a Descendant to Drosselmeyer.
Fakir, wanting to speak to Ahiru again, and tempted by the Shadow's promise to make her human for good, as well as the possibility of a happy ending, writes a story to set a series of events in motion; events that are meant to guide Fakir and Ahiru closer.
The price of the wish is a shard of a heart, and the effect, much longer reaching than Fakir hoped, as some students of Gold Crown Town Academy, as well as Mytho and Rue, who reside far in the capital, and other old characters still living in town, are all cast again in roles intended for them by the Blood of Drosselmeyer.

Or is a princess fated to find her prince? What story could their characters be entwined in now?
