John struggles with his love for two women. One who is dying, and the other belongs to someone else...but she used to be his.

A one-shot short story set in 1992. Marlena is married to Roman and John is married to Isabella, who never got cancer so never died. Everything else is the same as the show. This short story is set on the night that Stella spiked Marlena's drink at Wings but it ends quite differently...

John can't forget the one woman he can't have. Marlena can't stop dreaming of the man she should have let go. What happens when fear, love, and desperation collide? This is a Canon Divergence retelling of the Lady in a Cage storyline with significant canon changes leading to another affair.

Post Marlena's 1992 return to Salem. Marlena made the decision to give her marriage to Roman a try, but is struggling. John, putting his own pain aside, is frequently there to help her. Thank you to Ms. Goldie for the cover art and for inspiring me to revise and continue this story!
