''You don't have to do this'' He says, standing infront of the window, silhouetted by the paris cityscape. We had been hiding away in Paris for days now, with no friends around there was no judgements for the things we did together, maybe that made us worse. ''You think you made me this way?'' I murmur at him, eyeing up my next line as he walks over to me, his rough hands meeting my chin, ''No, and that breaks my heart'' He says kneeling down to my eye level, ''Maybe we were made to break hearts.'' ------ Jules Chase is a stripper in the london scene, Matty Healy is a rockstar in his own world, When the twos paths cross they were destined for chaos and destruction, but what's a love story without a bit of danger?

Sydney didn't have much, but that was fine with her. She didn't need much. Growing up on the Washington coast in a lonely beach town, working quietly behind the scenes was what she was good at. Living on the beach was much less glamorous than most people imagine. Her home was a beat up old Winnebago that she had shared with her father until he passed. Her father had been a detached parent. He loved his daughter of course, but he was by no means an affectionate man. She had grown up fending for herself, working backstage at a bar that hosted live bands using a fake ID. After the death of her father she saw an ad for a guitar technician for a local Seattle band. A love of rock and roll had been the one thing that her and her dad had in common. Selling everything that she didn't need she packed up her pickup truck and travelled north to the city, leaving the sleepy town in her rear view mirror. She didn't expect to embark on what would become the adventure of a lifetime. For someone who had hardly left the town she grew up in, the opportunity to get paid to travel the country and listen to great music was a dream come true. The band became her family, and life on the road was a perfect fit for her. Chris Cornell instantly became Sydney's best friend in the whole world. They were in love, that was plain as day to anyone who paid attention. Yet, sometimes love isn't as simple as it should be. Sometimes, love hurts. Warning: This book covers potentially triggering subjects such as depression, suicidal ideation, domestic abuse, sexual assault, poverty and drug use.
