flora thompson is tired of her depressing life. her ex boyfriend sucks, her job sucks, and her best friend no longer has time for her now that she's living across the country. in the middle of a desperate attempt to find a break in her monotonous routine, she stumbles across a strange looking pathway in the forest.

with nothing to lose, flora makes a long journey below the forest floor for so long and so far down it makes her ears pop. at the end of pathway a wooden door is revealed that opens up to an undiscovered civilization living entirely underground with minimal knowledge of the world above them.
