UNDER MAJOR RECONSTRUCTION! PLEASE READ AT OWN RISK.
This story is years old and when it was written I was quiet a but younger, so im going though and changing everything. A few chapters are 'done' but the story line is different than what it once was so if it jumps off track than you have entered the old book.
Sorry. Have a wonderful day and remember: You are important.

Alpha Chris has his share of scars. He wears them like badges of honour, having earned them protecting his pack. Jess carries hers on the inside, a collection of secret shame... After Jess breaks free of an abusive ex, she goes home to her farm in the remote countryside to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. She tries to bury her trauma and move on, determined not to let anyone get too close again. Chris has given up on finding his mate and focuses all of his energy on his pack, growing colder and more distant with every passing year. Just when he least expects it, she falls into his lap, smelling like his best friend and wanting nothing to do with him. What happens when a battle-hardened Alpha who is used to getting his way comes up against a stubborn woman set on walling herself from everyone? More than brute strength is needed to break through those walls and reach her. When hidden enemies threaten both their lives, will he be able to reach his Goddess-given gift in time? Book three of the Forgotten series ~ Weakness is not allowed in the Mountain packs. Living in the mountains, away from civilization and away from the eyes of mundanes. The Mountain packs are harsh and brutal. Shifter against shifter. Pack against pack. Wolves against wolves. All fighting for the same thing. Survival. Azrael Thorn was a powerful Alpha. He had taken his title by force, as tradition dictated. Power and authority of the Alphas and shifters who had challenged him and lost radiated off of his tall, bulky frame. He was dangerous and he was everything an Alpha of a Mountain pack should be. Yet he had no mate or family to call his own. But a mate who could not stand the bitterly cold winters or the brutality of the pack would not produce strength. It would only bring weakness. Weakness is not allowed in the Mountain packs. ~ If the pain stops, it means you are dead. Lace Owens is underestimated at every turn. Her small and delicate built matches her name but the power of defeated enemies hang off her heavily. A power and an authority that would bring many men to their knees if they sensed it, hangs off of her like an oppressively dark cloud but she hides it carefully. Unwilling to let anyone see just how powerful she has become. Her skin is marked with a painful past and she has turned a thing of cruelty into a thing of beauty with her blade. Swirling patterns adorning her skin, hiding the cruelty among her willing pain, her only comfort against the world around her. If the pain stops, it means you are dead. ~ Two world collide as Azrael and Lace form a bond and spiral down into unfamiliar territory where Azrael is shown that strength doesn't always come from size and Lace learns that love can spring from even the most painful places. Together they show the werewolf world a long held belief still stands strong. Weakness is not allowed in the Mountain packs. ~

Highest rankings: #1 in werewolf #1 in paranormal romance #80 in Romance *** The Wulvers Series - Book 5 I have no name and no family; except the Wanderers I run with. Violence and brutality is their way, and the only way I've ever known. Our only enemy is the struggles of the wilderness and the packs that seek to hunt us down, or so I've been told. After a hunt that leaves our numbers dwindled and an injury that leaves me weak, I'm left behind to the mercy of the pack we attacked. A pack that seems to know more about who I should be and what I should do than I do myself. Finally, I have the chance to make a choice about whose side I'm on and what life I want to lead. But I've been wild all my life, and even the Beta forced to be my keeper won't tame me. I was born of the wilderness, at least that's what I believed. . .
