in the face of a stage 3 cancer diagnosis, the protagonist's reaction is stoic and unchanged. They reflect on how, when they were diagnosed with depression, people around them distanced themselves, treating them as a burden. But now, with a life-threatening illness, those same people put up a facade of care and support, despite their insincerity. The protagonist finds irony in this situation, realizing that the knowledge of their mortality is what has suddenly given value to their life in the eyes of others.

In the final moments, surrounded by the hospital's subdued atmosphere, the protagonist lies weak and fragile. The sister sits by their side, holding their hand, showing a mixture of love and grief. The protagonist acknowledges the difficulty of living, but realizes that saying goodbye to their sister is the hardest part of their journey.

In these final moments, the protagonist's love and admiration for their sister shine through, and they find comfort in knowing that their sister will always hold a special place in their heart, even beyond death. The scene captures the essence of their unbreakable bond, showcasing the power of sibling love and the impact it can have on one's life.

As the protagonist's words hang in the air, their sister's tearful eyes affirm the significance of their connection. The unspoken emotions between them speak louder than any words ever could. In the face of impending loss, their love remains unyielding, providing solace and strength to both in this heart-wrenching moment.

In a dystopian world, where the strongest prevails, having peace is a luxury. Especially when someone from the past is out to destroy everything we have built up over the past 15 years. And with Christmas approaching, our group get to face ten hellish days. Preview: In his fury, the chains have rubbed his wrists and neck raw, despite me trying to calm him down. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. So if I mess up somewhere, let me know!

She's dead by the third chapter. Okay, it's a bit more complicated than that. Okay, it's A LOT more complicated than that. Renata wants nothing more than to pay her bills through her mildly boring office job and figure out whether she is still in love with her best friend. The latter half of that desire is just a sneak peak into her messy life-and it's only getting messier. Considering the paranormal world she is about to dive head first into, she will come to realize that figuring out her heart may just be the easiest part of this journey. Well, the endless supply of supernatural hotness in this story may beg to differ-but that's besides the point. Either way, it's gonna be a killer time ;) EXCERPT Chicken tacos it is. Right as Renata grabbed the ingredients, she turned to put them next to the stove, where a clean, plastic cutting board awaited. But as she moved, she was confronted by a stranger, an intruder, standing mere inches from her. Before she could scream, he was on her, slamming her against the fridge. Her back flashed with sharp pain. Her eyes pricked with fear as she drank in his uncovered face. Deeply tanned skin. Ruby red eyes-ruby red eyes? Thick, slashing eyebrows. Flat, broad nose. Buzzcut. Handsome. That was as far as she would go in complimenting him considering this guy held a knife to her throat. When he spoke, his voice came out like thunder. It held a thousand threats and a thousand secrets. It held promise of pain if provoked. "If you scream," he warned, mouth pulled in a slight snarl, "this ends quickly." She didn't dare nod against the blade. He noticed and amusement lit up for just a second in those devilish eyes. Oh, whoever the fuck this was, she already hated him. Considering her predicament, panic was the most prominent emotion coursing through her at the moment. "Good." He removed his hand "Now you're going to answer my questions." °°MATURE AND EXPLICIT CONTENT OF ALL KINDS, AND I MEAN ALL KINDS°

"You'll be alright Bri" He assured her with a beaming smile, even though he knew she wasn't going to buy it. "Alright? Nothing is ever going to be alright Bradley" She flared up. "You don't say that Bri" She stared at him for some seconds before uttering another word. "All these tubes connected to my body, and you sit here tryna get my hopes on!?" Her eyes were starting to get blurred with tears. "Don't get all worked up Bri" His beaming smile was slowly fading. "I'll die, won't I?" She asked with a wry smile. "No Bri, don't say that" He replied almost immediately, as he went closer and caressed her already wet cheeks. "We'll fight this together Bri" Can they really fight this together?
