A retelling of the plot of the first Paper Mario Game (which I tend to call Paper Mario 64) with certain twists, namely that there be romance in this retelling. Can Mario and his friends retrieve the Star Rod in this remixed tale?
Rob here with yet another reboot of a story that is not mine. The original Author of this story is "HeelBayley4Life" from FanFiction. Credit for this idea goes to them. I am simply finishing what they started and throwing in my usual brand of changes. Not many though, as I am going to try and keep to the spirit of the original vision for the story as much as I can. I will however be making references to games that were released after Paper Mario 64 at times.
IMPORTANT Notice: While the Paper Mario video game series is unique in that Mario and all the characters in it are made of paper, the japenese title of Paper Mario 64 translates to "Mario Story" so all characters are going to be treated as if they weren't made of paper in this story. I do have work arounds for when something that would revolve around the paper nature of the game comes up. This is where the references to later Mario Games will come into play mostly.
