"Stop," I cried between gasps. "You're hurting me!"
Pulling my head forward, he then slammed it back against the wall, detonating a sudden high-pitched sound in my ears as the pain shot through me. The room became fuzzy, forcing me to close my eyes in the hope of keeping myself upright.**
Isobel Tully accepts her abusive relationship as something that's meant to be, a karmic consequence of her past. She believes wholeheartedly that she deserves nothing better than her life with Jamie...
