Survivor of the Slain City - Becoming Archeros

Short scene of young Justus surviving the slaughter of his city by Draconis's top Blackout Warrior Vulture and his soldiers and how he ends up Archeros and taken by Vulture's forces. I wrote this randomly to get a feel of Justus/Archero's character the first time I drew him and I might add onto this and further develop it into its own short story but I'm not sure yet. It's a sub-plot of the Saga of Broken Tide - a story about winged dogs and an epic war between good and evil that I created to be told through animation on my YouTube channel. Most of the story is told through animations with music, but I thoroughly enjoy writing little scenes like this as well so I might put it into writing one day.

CONTENT WARNING:

Justus/Archeros is the sole survivor of his city after Draconis's Blackout Warriors attack and he survives by hiding out inside until the battle is over. Then he creeps outside and discovers the aftermath, as well as Vulture waiting for him with a bloodied blade. Please be aware this includes; vague depictions of corpses & bloodied streets, blood, threatening of a child (Vulture threatening Justus/Archeros), and essentially a kidnapping. (No one grabs Justus/Archeros but they make him choose between coming with them or death.) This was meant to show the trials of a refugee child and a realistic depiction of the trauma and devastation that war brings. It is not sugar coated. If these themes disturb you, please don't read this.
