Shocked and frightened by this news, Brooklyn divorces Jackson, relieved that he is now put behind bars. What she doesn't know is that Jackson could weasel through anything. He has connections and people that are on his side. Next thing she knows, she is moving from house to house, renting apartments, staying at family's houses, just to stay away and protect her and her daughter from her serial killer of a husband.
