The sky was clear, then thunder hit. The plane was holding 190 men and they were trying to cross antarctica A man was reading through a chapter book as another was writing with a broken pencil. The notebook was small, he was writing with his left arm. The men sat calmly as they hit turbulence. The plane's engine blew. The team put on their parachutes and started jumping out.
The captain stood directing people to jump. The plane kept flying, flames were burning up the wing. Everyone fell to the ground. Everyone took off their parachutes. "Get on the GPS" the captain said.
They barely missed landing in the water. A mermaid-like creature stared barely poking its head out of the water. The mermaid's eyes were dark and she had long black hair. The most beautiful creature any man has ever seen. Many were lost and there were few survivors were left.
The days were cold and the people were helpful,but still no sign from the base. The GPS wasn't in reach. They were taken by the warmth and spent days on in and were getting comfortable. The plane never made it to the base.
The people brought them inland; some of the survivors were walking and others rode on horseback with the people. And at the time they couldn't speak English, but the people knew some people who could. When they got inland they met an English speaking man and a few behind him. He warned them that they should stay put but everyone was acting nervous. The captain didn't listen and it was his choice not to. So he led the rest of the men out of safety and into harm's way.

There was something so inexplicable about this beautiful creature before him. The gills on his neck pulsated with the heaving of his chest. His very pink hair- pastel- trailed in the water around his face and when Changbin looked down- The most beautiful pink tail he had ever laid eyes on. Even In the darkness of the water, the scales glinted and shimmered with hues of pinks and even gold. So, so rare because mermaids and mermen had only ever adorned blue scales to blend with the habitat around them. And maybe Changbin really was hallucinating. Maybe this was just the grim reaper- a really ethereal grim reaper- dragging him down to hell instead of to the surface of the water. Before Changbin could open his mouth and ask 'am I going to die?' His lungs finally gave out on him as he breathed, and inhaled the salty sea around him. Or Changbin is saved by a beautiful merman- and years later, he can return the favor when he finds him injured and unconscious at port.

Everyone in town knows about the sea monster. Every night, he goes into town to find his prey. He lures them in with his voice, only to bring them back to the ocean, to eat them. Few survive this, and the people who do, they lose their mind, like they were cursed. You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to! "That's enough chit chat." A new voice stated, even deeper and scarier than this boy's. "Get your samples already." The boy nodded his head as he started working. Setting up his equipment. Soon he was ready. "What are you gonna do?" I ask with my shaky voice. He didn't answer just poured some water on my legs. Then the pain started. He was tearing off one of my scales. I screamed in pure agony. "Get at least five." The voice told the boy. And that's what he did. Later he would take my blood. All while I was strapped to a table. I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind.
