Me and Money | A personal diary of financial adventures, challenging young people to learn how to be money smart.

Me and Money is journey of initiation, featuring a set of engaging stories on financial literacy with young people, about young people and for young people, in the form of a personal diary.

The stories focus on George's journey and his 4 friends, and as they dialogue, interact, and spend time together, they learn to use different strategies and apply easy money-learning techniques.

Throughout the trip, our young people recognize the importance of saving money for themselves and are challenged to go on a mission to learn how to accomplish specific goals: saving for a school trip, trading in a new phone, budgeting a community project, donating to a charitable cause, or money for personal development.

Of course, as in any story, they face different challenges and obstacles that force them to think critically, generate creative ideas and develop their financial skills by practicing simple behaviors. To realise the importance of financial education, they will be faced with situations where they have to prioritise their needs over wants, resist impulse purchases or find ways to earn or save money. They also learn about the concept of delayed gratification and how rewards come with disciplined saving habits, exploring topics such as comparison shopping, meal planning, conserving energy or making responsible financial decisions.

The personal diary incorporates practical money-saving techniques such as creating budgets, tracking spending, and finding ways to save daily, and along with George and his friends, you, the reader, will have the opportunity to practice personal ˝financialization˝ - a discipline so little addressed in school, but so important in real life.
