nicholas bennett wasn't accustomed to devotion. between his dad's job in the 'navy', and his mother's late passing, the only thing nicholas has time for is school, his best friends janey and ben, and his personal favourite, daydreaming. especially of urtheia. a place his father used to tell him about before he took his leave, a place where gifted children and creatures mix, and a place to live in true harmony. it was the only thing that nicholas truly took comfort in, and the stories would stick with him forever. he was sure of it.
but when nicholas' father, tom, suddenly passes, he has no choice but to live under the care of his older cousin azura, who is now his only family left.
learning to live without tom is a struggle, and now nicholas is having dreams about urtheia, but the balance is all wrong. there is only death, and war. to try and forget about it, the pair take a short visit to the local museum, tom's favourite place, to catch a well deserved break. but along the way, they run into an old glass artefact, out of it's original case and spinning rapidly. and as they both reach out to touch it, they re-locate to urtheia.
the place nicholas has been dreaming of since he was seven, the place nicholas had taken comfort in when he believed there was nothing else for him back home.
nicholas and azura are quickly rushed to the rulers, where they are instantly reunited with tom... and the rulers children. learning that they cannot go home due to being cursed, they are welcomed to live among the people, and train to protect urtheia, until the curse is undone.
but while nicholas learns the way of the urtherian people, he learns to live, and most importantly, he learns to love.
quick disclaimer: i, @sredthompson, own all of these characters, and all work written is mine. this is by no means a fanfic!! this is strictly my own work and thoughts, made from my imagination.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
