Lizzie is the most popular girl in school, with a bunch of friends, and a gorgeous boyfriend. She has a loving family, and anything she could ever want. And she doesn't know why. She's tried everything, being weird, mean, crazy, and even slutty. She even tried to get a tattoo. But still her little world stays the same little suburban, boring utopia on the little island of hooker point. Off the coast of Australia, or so she's told. Shes never even been off the island, even though she's 16. Just as shes about to resign to her growingly hellish, boring life, something happens. A boy moves to the island. At first, he seems normal. But then, she starts to notice little changes. Like, he's not overly nice to her like everyone else is. He's not afraid to tell her how it is. And, as the secrets of her life start to unravel, she grows suspicious that the people around her are keeping a secret that they don't want her to know. - Inspired by the movie "The Truman Show"
