Random chapter: Okay, maybe Cross was an overthinker...
Not that being one was the worst thing in the multiverse, it was just more difficult to find the light in a scenario that could be so dark. The good in something so bad... He really couldn't understand how people do it sometimes. To try to look for something! anything! That could brighten a dark mood. It's like a forgotten memory that you could never put your finger on because you know it is there, you just can't find it.

TWs!!! because I can't seem to tag them for some reason! abuse, mental health issues, torture, mental break downs, manipulation, all that fun stuff. This is NOT a lighthearted story! Nightmare had been alone in his head for the longest time. For 500 years he was able to gain more power, a castle, a gang, and a reputation of one of the most dangerous beings in the multiverse. But when Dream had broken out of stone, someone else made themselves known, someone who should have been dead. OR Corrupted Nightmare is a parasite and Passive Nightmare refuses to die. Cross knew he would do anything for Nightmare. He'd kill for him, had killed for him, he'd protect him, even die for him. And if that couldn't be achieved, well, then he'd die with him.
