In the hidden world of the færi, tension between Kingdoms have never been higher. When the changeling princes of the Western Kingdom disappears, it is only a matter of time before fingers starts getting pointed and blame is shifted, which would end in disaster. The Northern Prince knows that the only way to stop the oncoming war is to find Nocte and bring her back, which means following a trail that he knows leads directly to the Wilders- the dangerous group of rebellious færi fighting to destroy the system.

Will is a slut. At least, according to everyone else she is. With a past that both defines her and won't let her go, Will has had enough of the name-calling and assumptions. She's decided to use it all as fuel to get what she wants: to take down Reid Reynolds. Reid is a "bad boy" (a term that makes Will's eyes cross into oblivion) and he represents everything that Will despises. He is a TA in one of her university classes, making her plan even easier. She has an entire year to follow through with her agenda. No problem. It's all under control. Except it isn't.
