"It's not like- it won't be the first time we've kissed," Yunjin says. Slurs, really, her voice lower and her sentences slower than usual, which is just another reminder that neither of them are really in the right condition to be considering this. She's not wasted, but she's not sober either. "You're drunk, I'm drunk, we're both here, we're both- you know..."
No, Chaewon doesn't know. She doesn't know anything anymore because there's no way that Yunjin - HuhYunjin, her best friend for over a decade, of which approximately half of that time Chaewon has been in love with her for, and who has never been anything but painfully, torturously heterosexual - is suggesting what Chaewon thinks she's suggesting.
(or; Chaewon falls in love with her best friend when she's sixteen, and never quite learns how to fall out.)

My Notice:
Be aware that there may be inaccuracies whilst adapting, only a few roles were changed hence it only being purinz from le sserafim being used.
P.s. I adapted this ages ago for myself and then realised I could just post it here for ease, I'm also aware another user has also adapted this A03 story too :)
Suggest any wanted adaptations - No restrictions x

in the quiet sanctuary of a small-town church, two souls from different worlds collide. yunjin, a gay girl with a vibrant spirit, finds herself navigating the rigid expectations of her conservative family. each sunday, she seeks solace in the church's stained-glass shadows, a silent rebel against the unspoken rules. enter chaewon, a 'straight' girl whose light-hearted nature belies her own struggles with a family that doesn't understand her free-thinking ways.
their meeting is a whisper of fate amidst the hymns and prayers. as they bond over shared secrets and quiet rebellion, a spark ignites-a profound connection that transcends their differences. together, they find a friendship that offers a refuge from the judgment they face, a sanctuary built on understanding and acceptance. but as their bond deepens, they must navigate the complexities of their feelings and the scrutiny of a community that might not be ready for the story they have to tell.
