Jimin talks too much. Yoongi doesn't talk at all.

They sit together at lunch now. Not by choice-not exactly. It just sort of happened. And maybe Yoongi lets it keep happening because Jimin is too persistent, too annoying, and... too gentle in a way Yoongi doesn't know how to shut out.

Yoongi has always had blood on his hands-quiet, unforgiving, and permanent. Something he hides beneath his shirt too, in the shape of old burns and scorched skin. Jimin, on the other hand, used to. The kind of past that still lingers under his fingernails, in the faint scratches along his arms, in the way he disappears when things get too loud.

A school camp, a shared tent, and the kind of silence that isn't empty-it changes things.

Maybe Yoongi watches too closely. Maybe Jimin clings too tightly in his sleep. Maybe neither of them has ever really known what it feels like to be safe.

But even when warmth feels dangerous, they keep reaching for it anyway.
