She wasn't always like this. No one ever started like this. The memories played on repeat in her mind. The mental and physical pain. Her deaths. She resets. What that monster called her. Nine. He never once called her by her name. Just nine. Four words played in her mind. Survive. Build a shelter. No. Not needed. Make a weapons. Not needed. She's safe. Hunt for food. No. Not needed. Her mother was here with freshly made food. Run! Not needed. She's safe. She's home. Fight. Go for the neck. No, no need. Not a threat. The heart. Not needed. The man pose no threat. She is safe. She is strong. Swipe the legs. There. Is. No. Need. She is back in reality. Back home. In Japan. With her mother and her friend. Safe. Home. She is safe. She is home. Protect. Help than and child back home. No need. They do not exist. They need help. There not real. Protect the boy. She did. She succeeded. But now she's back home. And she can... no. Needs to protect new people. Repeat. No. She will never ever repeat that hell hole. She'll never go back. She'd rather die. That monster took everything from her. He wanted to make the perfect being. A god. She was his ninth victim. His closest thing to success before he was caught. He had tried eight people before her. Men and women. All too young, too old, or just didn't work out. All broke, all officially died before they could reach test three. All but her. She had fought tooth and nail to survive. To live. To escape. But his phantom grip on her will never be released. At least not until he's dead. Or until he's succeeded. She'll either kill him herself or kill herself before he can even touch her. She'd rather die once again, truly die before she allows herself to go through that hell. After all, he said he wasn't done yet when she was finally free. She knew he wasn't. He said he had five tests. She'd only gone through three and a half out of the five. Meaning he'll hunt her down. He'll escape. Break free then he'll finish what he started.

A group of students, that were sent to a large forest to stay for three years before returning. For the first few days, they were bound to find food, supplies and materials to build their homes and to survive. The first night there, a wolf with black fur, the end of each strand being red, that was littered with scars in many different sizes, showed up. It was known as the most dangerous wolf, because it would always attack humans and other animals. It is known that a story always has two sides and the truth, but this, this is just how the people will treat animals that they think are a threat to society. What if another animal attacked the person they accused it of attacking? What if it was a shapeshifter? What if it was human before but was experimented on? What if it was attacked by other animals? What if...it was just trying to survive? A bunch of 'What if's are going around. There are so many questions but not many answers. Four of the students has their mind set to find out everything about this wolf, and why it's targeting them. What will happen when they find it on the brink of death, with a gunshot wound, and a few cuts, lacerations, and bruises that look like claw marks? Credits to @rozeywell for the cover picture.
