Jack is an average kid, with an average life and above average grades. But what isn't average is what he can do. After his powers are exposed, he finds The Elementals, a group of kids with powers like him. He become emerged in the war between his newfound allies and the Meta Corps, a group that wants to harness these mysterious powers and use them for mass destruction. But first, he must train. Just getting through what the others call "The Test" seems hard enough. Does he have what it takes to join this mysterious group?

We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. Morgan Carter was put in the camps and wasn't able to come out the same way she came in. She became their pet telekinetic/assassin, ready to kill and torture without hesitation and knew how to. She forgot her old life, including her name. Rylie Garner paraded as Light Glider around his city-their own personal superhero-escaping being caught with the help of his friends while trying to find his little supernatural sister, who was taken.
