This story starts just over 500 years before the Journey To The West (JTTW), and it has a new character called Kai, who is a mystic monkey with white fur and black eyes with red pupils.

Kai came to be in a different way than Sun Wukong and The Six-Eared Macaque. In fact, he was made by both of them merging their powers, and if you imagine Wukong being the Sun and Macaque being the Moon, then you could say Kai is the Eclipse.

In the timeline, Kai is about 700 years old and lives on Flower Fruit Moumtain (FFM)

Some stuff happened in the past that will be explained later in the story, but it greatly impacted Kai himself along with his and Macaques' relationship.Todos los derechos reservados

Reader is female for this one !! I made this because of my newfound obsession with LMK (Lego Monkie Kid, go watch it if you haven't, I recommend!) and also because of my love for Monkey King. Watched 'Amnesia Rules' and one thing lead to another! I adored Sun Wukong's mannerisms and enthusiasm in this episode and I thought, 'hey why not make a lil fanfic based around a young Wukong in his Journey to the West?' so here we are dear readers. This was purely made out of comfort :) On one faithful morning, you decided to harvest some peaches. Only to be met with a monkey who ate half of them.

Before the events of MK's journey, reader moves into the city, and works at a cafe as the baker. She keeps her powers a secret with the idea that magic does not exist, and her empathy abilities are different compared to a diagnosis. She lives a peaceful life until she encounters the Monkey King which makes her question herself throughout the story. He helps her unlock her true potential, and during their time together they gain feelings for one another. However, one of them is not being honest with themselves thus causes a rift between the two throughout the story allowing another player (Macaque) to swoop in for reader's comfort.

Unaware of their true nature and forms, you take care of them while journeying. You never expected them to grow attached to you, and honestly, neither did they. The reader is MK's non-identical twin sister. When Pigsy both sent the two out for noodle deliveries, MK went to deliver his stack of noodles, while you did your deliveries, and while you did your deliveries, you found a staff, for a second, you thought it was Monkey King's staff, but it was black highlighted with gold. Without thinking, you picked it up and felt a surge of power through you, and that's when you met Macaque. He looked almost like Monkey King, but with black fur. He saw the staff in your hands and explained to you that only he could pick it up, but when he saw you holding it, he decided to take you under his wing, and make you his successor. So from that point, you trained to be a warrior and fought demons along with your brother. A/n-The reader has the exact same powers Macaque has, like aquatic breathing, enhanced hearing, Shadow Manipulation, Shadow Cloning, Shadow Monkeys, Shadow Transportation, Shadow Hiding, Smoke Generation, and shape-shifting. (And when it gets to season 3, maybe Lady Bone Demon Powers)

During a battle, Macaque gets injured, the group does not yet trust Macaque and is still skeptical so they leave the monkey king to watch over him, not only to make sure he is well healed but also so he doesn't run off or do anything destructive. The healing process is slow and painful, it hurts to even use his power. He finds himself unable to even move from his bed some morning. On the verge of death, Sun Wukong is worried for his ex-best friend.
