Corvus Le'Master spent six years in his mother's hometown of Seattle, simply enjoying the life he was given. While he never sought companionship beyond the occasional one-night stand, that did not stop companionship from finding him.

Enter Skylar.

While sitting in a restaurant one night, Corvus catches sight of her and finds it difficult to even think of prying his attention away from her. The closer she gets to him, the more of his senses become enthralled by her. The trance he is under is only broken by her but to Corvus's surprise, Skylar is overtly flirtatious and playful with him.

Sadly, this welcomed moment is short-lived once something goes awry and causes Skylar to leave her workplace, sending Corvus trailing after her. But this, and even Skylar herself, fails to deter Corvus from pursuing her. Eventually, Skylar opens up to Corvus allowing them to spend the night together.
After that night; it is revealed that more than bones are hidden in the blackness of Skylar's life. Living nightmares seek to control all aspects of her life, this awakens a long-dormant side of Corvus as he vows to expel all of these torments.

But, Skylar doubts Corvus' capabilities to hide her from the wicked forces that seek to ruin her. Will Corvus reveal a Darkness capable of hiding Skylar or will they both drown in the deep?
