||Book 1 of the Worthy Series|| |Set pre and during the first Thor movie| ||I own nothing of the MCU or the comic books characters or places, but I own everything else in this book, such as plotlines and oc scenes|| Odin the great All-Father of Asgard and the Protector of the Nine Realms, he was getting on in years and he knew it. He had two options for whom to declare as his heir and successor, but he asked just one other person... one warrior first and just before. Lady Drina hates being referred to as "Lady", when she is the daughter of Týr the God of Justice, single combat, and honor. Her title, is the Lady goddess of honorable combat and justice, although she is more often referred to by her title that everybody believes is self-imposed. Drina is known as the Defender of Odinsons, the two sons of Odin, Loki and Thor. Her older brother is Conor, the god of one on one combat, he would have you believe. Despite the fact of the matter, that his sibling continually bests him in all forms of combat, except for archery. Drina has only known one person who ever refused to refer to her by her rather bothersome and limiting title of 'Lady', since he was the only one who ever bothered to listen. Loki was the only one who listened, when even Conor shut her out of his life, following along a bit too eagerly with all of the rest. And in return, she refuses to accept that he was lying all of those years about who he was, and who she saw him as. "You are Loki, the Son of Odin." Drina said gently and she moved to step forward, despite negative emotions coming from every fiber of his being. "NO! No, I am not!!" Loki shouted and Drina took the smallest of steps back, which quieted him down and he looked out of the window opposite Drina. "If you are not Loki of Asgard, if you are not the boy that I grew up fighting alongside now, then who are you?" She asked softly. She stared into blood-red eyes and icy blue skin, as she shakes her head. "You are still Loki. I know it.

In this alternate universe, Loki has been exiled to Midgard when Odin sees through his disguise (Think the end of Thor, The Dark World). He is haunted by his part in the death of his adoptive mother. He has visions of her that may be her talking to him from beyond the veil of death or just his overactive guilty conscience playing tricks on him. Either way, he has promised her he will do everything he can to make up for the things he's done. Even if it takes until the end of time itself. As part of his penance, Loki is restricted to Stark Tower until such time as the team believes he is no longer a threat to the world. As it gives him the opportunity to try to keep his promise, he doesn't argue. Much. Rachael has recently acquired magic from a relative. Shortly after, she was recruited by Stark and moved into Stark Tower to help the team. It's the one place she would never have expected to encounter the God of mischief himself, who happens to be the root of the magic she doesn't trust. (Long story short, Rachael's ancestor Bridgette fell for Loki when he was on Midgard nearly four hundred years ago. Eight months after Odin ordered his sons home, Bridgette had a daughter. Skip about five years of wishing for him, and Bridgette accepts that he's not coming back. She marries and has other children. One of these later children is Rachael's ancestor. The elder child is the ancestor of Rachael's distant cousin Nicolla, who was adopted by Rachael's grandmother and raised as Rachael's aunt. Still confused? Leave a note and I'll try to clear it up for you.) Missions start to come in that force them to work together, and force her to admit he's doing what he can to make up for the destruction he's caused. At first, Rachael refuses to acknowledge the attraction she feels, but he, being the annoying godling he is, seems unable to take no (or a stiff right hook) for an answer. Contains adult language, themes, and (eventually) some sexual content (smut).

❝in which two misfits from different worlds altogether find just how ethereal each other's company can be.❞ Hecate, goddess of witchcraft and a prominent figure in Greek mythology, is in simple words: fed up. Fed up of being trapped in the pits of hell without cause, fed up of the monotony that her life has adapted to, fed up of herself. Fed up of the 'duty' she is bound to, and the shackles of destiny that never seem to leave her alone, even when she has spent her whole life running. Loki Laufeyson, god of mischief, wants something new. Wants to escape his brother Thor's shadow, find a piece of solace that has been missing his whole life, and wants somebody to understand. Wants to be viewed as something more than the last resort, the spare prince of Asgard. Wants somebody to maybe want him, for who he is, as a person and not the son of Odin. Neither of Laufey. Just him. Just Loki. And yet, we don't always get what we want, do we? Of course, both of them are from completely different universes. Greek and Norse, ones with very little similarities between them. But what if, somehow, somewhere, their existence collided? What if the destiny that Hecate has longed to escape and the title Loki thinks of as a burden is what brings them together? What makes them ethereal?
